Had a lengthy chat with Justin Harvey and also Kirsty from Ei Publican Partnerships and it looks like all systems go for the King's Head.
Justin will be taking over the lease of the King's with Ben Woos becoming licensee. I was most impressed by the plans they have to turn the King's into a real village and community pub.
The news has met with universal approval on Facebook and if Justin does as good a job here as he has done at the Green Dragon in Wymondham we should once again have a bright and vibrant pub in the village to go alongside the already bright and vibrant Queen's Head.
Sent a piece over for the Eastern Daily Press newspaper. To cut a long story short, it looks as if the King's will be re-opening in early November for drink and in the new year, after a full programme of re-decoration, for food.
In the meantime Justin is planning on bringing some street food to the car park and also allowing customers to order in their own takeaways to go with their drinks. It's certainly an innovative way to go about things.
My story on the education revolution in Hethersett has appeared in the EDP 24 website at

My story on permissive paths has also hit the news at

and appeared in the newspaper as well.
Best of all, my rather off the wall feature on Hethersett's attempts to raise funds to buy a tank during the Second World War made a double page spread in a history supplement in both the EDP and the Norwich Evening News. Photographs of the cuttings are below.
