I had it on with my usual car one to see which was more accurate and whether they both went in the same direction. They didn't and Waze wanted to send us over a roundabout on the M something or other that didn't exist. As for the car one - well that's junk. Driving home down the A11 it kept wanting to take us off the road to go left which seemed totally senseless. When I stayed on the A11 it cut seven miles off the way it wanted to take us! This and the fact it seems to love taking us down single track roads in the middle of nowhere always makes us suspicious of its accuracy.
So first we aimed for our final National Trust property of the week - Charlecote near Stratford on Avon. It's a Tudor house set in acres of parkland. Problem was most of it was shut. That included the house which was a disappointment. It reminded me considerably of our own Blickling Hall.
The problem I have with various things being closed is not so much with them being closed but the fact that you are still expected to pay the same amount. It didn't greatly matter to us because we have an annual pass. But I can quite see how people paying on the day will be unhappy to find much of what they have paid for closed and no reduction in entrance money.
I noticed the admission price for the parkland was £11 for an adult. That's quite a bit to basically walk through parkland which you can do in plenty of other places without paying.

I realised that I haven't updated my walking progress recently. As you know I'm aiming to walk 1,500 miles in 2022 in aid of the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
To date I have walked just under 356 miles at an average of 4.68 miles per day and that means I'm on schedule to complete around 1,707 miles by the end of the year. To date I'm over half way towards my target of £500 and will be having another push later in the year.
Many many thanks to all the lovely people who have already contributed. If you would like to add to my total just go to Just Giving and put in Peter Steward and it will come up. I haven't mentioned this very much lately as I didn't want to take away any potential funds from Ukraine Relief.

A slightly shorter blog today but I will make that up by a number of photographs of Gloucester which I hope you enjoy.
