Obviously it's working for the post office van delivery service.
How do I know this I hear you ask.
It's because of our local delivery driver. When he drops a parcel off he always asks how I am.
"Fine. How are you?" I always reply.
"Living the dream, living the dream,"
He always says this twice as if the first time is for me and the second time for him.
I certainly wouldn't want to live some of my recent dreams, although the one where I won the lottery wouldn't be too bad.

I'm quite choosy when it comes to films but for some reason I can't explain I'm keen to see the Barbie movie. It looks fun and has had good reviews for its amusing script.
We have just finished watching the true crime drama The Sixth Commandment on television. It was enjoyable and there were some excellent acting performances. I have never been a fan of Timothy Spall but in this drama he loses what I call the bumbling old man idiot persona and sounds much more plausible as the academic preyed on by a much younger man.

I have to say I'm finding interviews of Brits fleeing the Greek island fires are becoming tiresome.
As far as I know, no Brit holidaymaker died or was injured in the fires so all these first hand accounts are getting tedious and entering the realms of overkill.
People who are at the moment upset about having their holidays brought to a premature end will be "dining out" on stories of what happened for years to come. Most of them will already have been interviewed by the Media.

Something was said at the funeral we attended on Tuesday that certainly struck a chord with me.
The following was said about our fried Andy
"If you asked him for his opinion he gave it. If you didn't ask him for his opinion he still gave it."
I think that would apply to me as well.
One of my bloggettes has had a post reported for threat. It was my friend Chris who threatened to hit the person who alleged that I have a bad taste in music. He was of course threatening himself.

Went down to Cafe Kin in the village on Wednesday to meet up with friend Mike to chat mainly about cricket and football. Mike is chair of the trustees of the new pavilion on Hethersett Memorial Playing Field. The building is almost ready to be hired out.
Mike is very happy to show potential hirers round the building and its facilities. If any one is interested in hiring it and would like more information please send me details to my email address [email protected] and I will pass them on.
Nice to see fellow bloggettes Jane and David in the cafe.

I have spoken regularly about the forget me not cafe that we help run in the village under the auspices of Hethersett Dementia Support Group. We meet on the first and third Tuesdays of the month in the Methodist Church hall. Now Hethersett Hall Care Home is holding an additional session on the fourth Tuesday. We were unable to get to the first of these due to the funeral but apparently it went very well.
Which takes me onto how I spent most of Wednesday afternoon. I am currently editing my proposed book on the first year of my blogs. I have completed the first two months but still have 10 to go.
I have left the entries as they were written at the time with lots of stories about local people including the fascinating story of Sir William Steward and his ownership of Hethersett Hall. He was known as King Curry and you will have to wait for the book to come out to find out why.
I hope that people not from Hethersett who have no connection with the village will still buy it and enjoy it as a reflection on some very strange times as they happened.
I still have 10 months to edit but keep asking myself who on earth is going to buy it? Do let me know if you are interested. Absolutely no commitment but it will give me an idea of how many I will be able to sell. I'm still thinking of self publishing on Amazon with any profits going to charity. Haven't decided yet which one. I do want to make the books as inexpensive as possible.
I've had fun looking back on those early days of lockdown and am going to leave in comments about how I believed lockdown would be over in a matter of weeks.
It's difficult now looking back to remember how long I'd did last.

Final thought for the day. Who agrees that the overall standard of football on the women's world cup has been disappointingly poor?
Well I think I've wittered on long enough for today. These blogs seem to get longer and longer and you have to have willpower to stick with them to the end. If you have made it to the end of this one you have my undying gratitude. See you all tomorrow.
