We had a good look at the weather forecast which said it would be dry in the morning. So we drove to Ladybelt Country Park which is under three miles away. Had a good walk round with the grandchildren, talking about how to take photographs and they gave me a few hints.
Hope you like some of the photographs. I have put them on my You Tube channel. Just search for Norfolk and Suffolk Photographs. I was viewing them on the big tele and came across some absolutely stunning videos and stills of North Norfolk to add to my sensory overload. The grandchildren also showed us just how many free games there are on You Tube.
That's just before they downloaded an American "how to play the piano" app and insisted on a lesson which just consisted of learning the notes C and D. Next week we will be onto E and F. I have often wondered why notes in the octave go C, D, E. F, G, A, B, C. What happened to C, D, E, F, G, H, I and J. Although if you did that the notes would just go on until the letters of the alphabet had been exhausted.
It's a long time since I was as disappointed by a TV programme as by the last in the series of Line of Duty on Sunday night. I know many people feel somewhat underwhelmed by it all. I kept waiting for something extraordinary to happen but then realised as the hour ticked away that it just wasn't going to.
The series had enjoyed twist after twist, turn after turn but there was no feeling of shock and horror when the villain was unmasked. I won't spoil it for anyone who has recorded it or will be watching on Catch Up.
I got fed up with all the gasps and expressions of disbelief from the characters at virtually every turn of the drama which made you expect some real shocks. But there weren't any. It was a bit like reading a Dan Brown novel where he keeps telling us about something that "will change the world" only to deliver some watered down twist of little note. It's almost as if Brown wants to give us something fantastic but has no idea what it is or how to deliver it. Had the same feelings about Line of Duty. Really disappointing.
