Yesterday was that perfect winter's day mix of cold, bright sunshine and blue skies. So I went for a walk with Cousin Belinda along the banks of the River Tiffey at Wymondham. I know I've probably taken these photos or very similar ones before but what the heck. It was a perfect winter's day. Hope you enjoy some of them.
On the three mile walk along the B1172, I couldn't help but look at the state of buses that shot past. Their windows were caked with dirt and filth. Doesn't anyone ever clean them so that passengers can see where they are going?
That reminds me of one of my favourite jokes.
Two men go out and have quite a few drinks. One says to the other.
"Harry go and steal a bus from the bus station garage so we can get home."
Harry goes off to steal a bus but doesn't return to his mate for some considerable time but he is driving a double decker.
"Where have you been you've been gone hours says his friend."
"I know. The 17 was at the back of the garage," Harry replied.
I have a theory. Go into any cafe or place playing a compilation CD or greatest hits type radio and you are never more than 10 minutes away from an Abba or David Bowie track.
I see the former Chancellor of the Exchequer has been hauled over the coals for not paying the correct amount of tax. Apparently Nadhim Zahawi has a personal fortune of about £100 million. And to settle his tax bill he has paid £5 million. I really don't think I need to make any comment on this.
Just putting the finishing touches to edition 88 of my e magazine Hethersett Herald. When I started it over seven years ago I probably never envisaged getting this far. But I'm still enjoying doing it even though it's rather time consuming
