Are lists a good thing or a bad? I write them all the time and I guess they do help to focus the mind.
I think it's a good thing to include a few "piddly" things on the list. The kind of things you can do in five minutes but still give you a rosy glow when you cross them off the list.
Like yesterday I had an invoice to see to. It took approximately three minutes but it was a small gain - what you might call a pyrrhic victory.
For the first time in 26 days I didn't get out for a Steward Stroll which seems rather strange as we are still in lockdown and I am supposed to have nothing to do. Quite the opposite is true. There was the bedroom to put back together after decorating and Hethersett Herald to get online which seemed to take all day.
Thankfully I got it published just before tea time. Quite a bit of information came in this morning including details of details of Christmas at two of our churches. The parish church will be operating on reduced numbers and has scheduled a number of carol services but the Methodist Church will remain closed until the New Year. It will be holding Christmas events online.
Two things to look forward to are the village bauble trail which starts on December 4th and the village advent window which start tomorrow.
Details of all these and much more are in the latest edition which you can find at:

I was very pleased to see my piece on the Hethersett tree planting on the EDP 24 site. You can read this on

I was also pleased at how the photographs came out.
On Wednesday our racehorse is running in the 1.30 pm at Ludlow. When I say our racehorse - its actually a teeny weeny part of a racehorse. A couple of years ago we bought a 1/2000th share in a filly called Miranda. I think it cost the princely sum of £36 and was a Christmas present. Miranda won a couple of races which brought us the staggering amount of prize money of about £4! So it's just a bit of fun and I don't think we will be rich anytime soon.
I will let you know how she gets on in my Thursday blog. As for tomorrow - well it's a return to the Steward Strolls.
