Well actually that's not true. But every morning I upload my blog and an hour later check for any comments and the names of people who can't sleep and decide to see what piffle I have written.
I always take it that my early risers can't sleep rather than they are excited with anticipation at the thought that another day brings another Steward blog.
Thursday is usually my day for playing tennis but I haven't played for some time due to the continuance of a sore heel. It's slowly getting better but I must buy a decent pair of sports shoes to give me some protection from continually pounding on a hard surface.
Did you see the Northern Lights a few days ago. Unfortunately we weren't up in North Norfolk where they were at their best. We are doomed never to see them. I have probably mentioned that one year we went to Iceland primarily to see the lights only to have trips cancelled because of rain and mist.
We are going to North Norfolk next week but I bet we don't see them.

A year ago we were just preparing to leave Perth in Western Australia. Over there it was Spring and they were just gearing up for that thing I can't mention until next month.
Which reminds me that every year we have a winter wonderland in one of our roads just off the main part of the village. I pop down to take photos for my magazines and this year the lights in Park Green will be switched on by someone very special. Someone if you like sport you will have watched on television.
A Norfolk man who is number one in the world. Do I need to give you any more hints? The lights will be switched on on November 26th by Alfie Hewett. Alfie is world number one in wheelchair tennis and always comes over as a thoroughly likeable young man - well coming from Norfolk he would do.
The area will be bathed in light every evening from 4 pm throughout the end of November, the whole of December and until January 2nd.
I can't put into words how magical this area becomes. It's just as if it's no longer part of Hethersett but belongs to the world. I can't walk through without thinking of Harry Potter. Come along if you live close enough and you will see what I mean. I think people are now travelling from some distance to look at the lights and donations left in a wishing well go to a very good cause.
It's all in aid of the Finnbar Force charity which raises money for research into child cancer and to support families. It was set up in memory of Finnbar Cork who died from a brain tumour.
Many of these charities receive no Government funding which I think is disgusting bearing in mind how much money is wasted every year ( and I really am not going into that one as it makes me angry - Norfolk and Suffolk mental health trust has just spent £800,000 on a pr company to improve its image. I have always believed that the way to improve an image is to provide a first class service and then the image will take care of itself). See I said I wasn't getting into that one but ended up breaking my word.

Well as the elephant said to the giraffe, it's a rather truncated blog today due to constraints of time. I'm sure it will return to its usual ridiculous length tomorrow.
