Received one such post yesterday which I quote here:
A lovely reader said: "I keep saying it Peter, but how on earth do you squeeze everything into everyday. Your life is mind boggling."
I must say that kind of comment makes it all worth while. I don't want in any way to sound arrogant about what I achieve or do. At times I feel very lazy because there are certainly some things that I should do that I don't.
For me writing comes naturally. Notice I didn't pretend that what I write is good but just fast. I can write thousands of words virtually without thinking. When I did my master's degree we were given a task which involved writing 1,000 words on a topic. The other students got stressed but they knew it would be a piece of cake for me.
Now if we had been asked to change a wheel or do anything practical it would have been a piece of cake for many of them and hugely stressful for me. So each to his own.

Two inspirational men were in the news yesterday. Sir David Amess and (possibly soon to be a Sir) Kevin Sinfield.
You will remember that Sir David was murdered recently. He was Member of Parliament for Southend which has been given city status in his memory (something he campaigned endlessly for). Sir David seems to have been a man of the people - loved by everyone. He supported everything that would improve Southend and seemed like a genuinely nice and supportive guy.
It's a shame that we don't know about these people and their achievements until they have gone. This particularly applies to MPs. As in any walk of life there are good ones and bad ones but we never hear about them until something happens. Sadly our MP in South Norfolk has proved uncontactable recently and many feel that he no longer represents his constituents and some feel that he is coasting on a massive majority. Certainly I can't remember the last time he visited our village.
Mind you trying to find out how a person is seen before they have gone can backfire. One of my favourite storylines on Coronation Street (the only soap I watch) involved cantankerous old Blanche who wanted to hold a memorial service while she was still alive. This gave neighbours the chance to say what they felt about her... and they did. But most of the things said were far from complimentary! She asked for the truth and certainly got it.

Kevin Sinfield is completely bonkers. A former England Rugby League player he is currently doing potty things to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease research.
Recently he ran seven marathons in seven days. But that proved too easy. So on Monday morning at just after 8.30 am he set off on a 24 hour run from Leicester to Leeds - a distance of 100 miles. To this man there are no limits to what he can achieve.
Yesterday I walked from Hethersett to Wymondham and back and also a few miles around Wymondham. That totalled under 10 hours - just one-tenth of what Sinfield is running whilst sleep deprived for much of the time. All I can say is WOW.
