For once everything went smoothly but by the end of the day, after picking up a van, loading and unloading it four times and taking it back, I arrived home late in the evening feeling very tired and then slept in later than usual this morning - hence the lack of an early morning blog.
That phrase Cooey Mr Shifter must come from the sixties and probably came from a film. Any help on this would be appreciated. I will do some research later on the internet. Mind you myself and one of the other "humpers" (can I use that phrase) were referred to as the Chuckle Brothers during the removal. "To me To You."
Everything went remarkably smoothly. We did at one point anticipate loading the van up and then having to hang around for solicitors and estate agents to give the nod that all the various links of the chain had come together. But it all happened pretty quickly.
Today it's Saturday - should be a cricket Saturday - but it looks as if rain may again be the only winner which is a shame because Hethersett and Tas Valley are currently top of the Norfolk Alliance Division One. It is the highest level of cricket the club has played and just one step away from the Premier Division. We have come a long way from the days when we just played friendlies on the Memorial Playing Field.
Was also hoping to pop into Norwich today. If the rain holds off I will have some photographs for you tomorrow.
