As I mentioned on Facebook one of my funny memories of that day was when we gave Poppy (who would have been about 15 months old) a cup of water rather than her usual beaker. She proceeded to throw it over herself and I still remember her amazed expression as water dripped from her face. It was the kind of day I would just love to experience at the moment.
But back to the lockdown present. It looks as if certain restrictions will be lifted by this time next week. We will need to be cautious of course but any relaxation will be a step forward provided we don't suffer a second wave.
Yesterday's walk was a simple one along the cycle path to Wymondham and back (just over four miles) and today we did a leisurely 2.3 mile walk around Wramplingham. I can't remember ever going there before but what a delightful village it is - so peaceful and quiet.
No wonder author Bill Bryson lived there for so long. It must have been very conducive to writing after the hurly burly of normal life. I understand he moved away a few years ago and now lives back in his native America where no doubt he is taking the President's advice and ingesting regular amounts of bleach and disinfectant.
I hope you enjoy the selection of photographs today. I have family photos of the Great Yarmouth visit four years ago at the top and photos from the last few days below.
Finally today a mention for the garden birds who seem to have devoured all my fat balls (if you'll pardon the expression).
