Today I popped along and it was quite obvious that nothing has been done and the Grade Two listed building is still urgently in need of some TLC.
So we continue to wait. The weeds are still growing, the garden is unkempt and it looks a long way from being ready to re-open. I'm hoping to have some answers to the two questions - "when will work begin and when will it re-open" - in time for the April edition of Hethersett Herald.
That edition will also take a look at the affect the Coronavirus is having on the village with Hethersett Hall Care Home almost in lockdown and Hethersett Surgery relying more and more on telephone calls. A number of village meetings are also being cancelled.

A new web site has been set-up to take entries for the 10th running of the village two mile funrun. This will take place on July 12th and a record entry is expected after last year's run had to be called off. The web site is available by clicking here. Entry is £4 for adults and £2 for Under-16s and everyone finishing will receive a special commemorative medal.

Finally today I was out and about in the village for a visit to the chemist and library when I saw a group of youths doing wheelies on their bikes in front of cars. They then sped away. This has been going on for sometime. I got home to find out through Facebook that Great Melton Road was closed following an accident to a cyclist who had been riding in a group. I may be jumping to conclusions but could this be one of the group doing wheelies. I certainly hope they weren't badly injured but also hope that they now realise the dangers of what they have been doing.
