Energy companies making vast profits and now banks making billions. All this while people struggle to feed their families and meet mortgage payments etc.
I find it quite obscene. But I doubt that anything will change - certainly in the foreseeable future.

On Thursday I sat still for a couple of hours watching cricket and read a few magazines through the Readly app which I subscribe to.
The problem is this gives access to hundreds of magazines and newspapers and that can be overwhelming.
There are certain mags that I scan through, reading a few articles as I go. On Wednesday I came across a very funny article on cricket in a magazine called The Critic.
It surrounded Colin Cowdrey's return to test cricket at the age of 41 and finding himself up against the bowling of Geoff Thomson and Dennis Lillee.
Cowdrey was known as a real gentleman of the old school. He was also a gentleman who had put on what is generally referred to as "some timber." As he passed Thomson, Mr Cowdrey smiled. "Good morning my name's Cowdrey. Mr Thomson I believe. It's so good to meet you".
Thomson replied with "That's not going to help you, Fatso, now piss off."
I then went on to read a couple of articles from The Oldie magazine. One was on Carry On star Charles Hawtrey who sounded like a real nightmare.
The other was a piece by Gyles Brandreth about killers he had known.
How many of you have heard of the historical novelist Anne Perry? You may have heard of that name but I bet you didn't know that under her real name of Juliet Hulme she was a convicted murderer who bludgeoned the mother of a friend to death.
This action was turned into a 1994 film Heavenly Creatures which featured a very young Kate Winslet.
The murder took place in New Zealand and it's a fascinating story. Just Google Anne Perry if you are interested in reading more.

Have finished the next edition of Hethersett Herald and it should be online later today. So if you find yourself unable to sleep tonight just start reading and it should do the trick.
A slightly shorter blog today. Normal length is likely to be resumed tomorrow.
