So the Old Farts (or the OFs) suggested this blog should be written by somebody named Tommy Tit rather than me.
So what follows starts off with my own comments and then Tommy Tit takes over.

Please please Media outlets stop giving politicians the oxygen of publicity when all they are going to do is avoid answering direct questions and spout a load of claptrap.
On Tuesday I watched the Prime Minister being asked a direct question on both ITV and the BBC. The question was along the lines of: "Are you going to scrap the northern section of the HS2 high speed rail?"
Now were we expecting an honest answer? Of course we weren't. The Prime Minister had gone along to those interviews knowing full well that he was going to scrap the section and knowing full well that he wasn't going to answer the question. Meanwhile the Media knew that he had already made the decision and they knew he wasn't going to tell them.
So why do we go through with this charade? And come to think of it why does the PM bother - what is he hoping to gain by being evasive?
Sometimes I am just left speechless at some of the things that go on.
Tommy Tit takes over.
Apparently the Government has also cancelled the proposed super bullet train scheduled to run from Wymondham to Norwich. This train was expected to reach speeds of up to 300 mph over its 10 mile distance. A full buffet service was going to be available for the two minute journey. The train would have used new propulsion technology to reach a speed of 300 mph in five seconds.
The stretch of line would have cost £35 trillion with new stations at Wymondham, Hethersett and Norwich costing an additional £94 billion with new "hanging technology" installed at Hethersett to allow passengers to be catapulted onto the trains as they flashed past.
The Prime Minister stated the line would not be built due to safety fears about the ability of the trains to stop in time at either end of the line. He added that the Government was committed to its levelling up programme between Wymondham and Norwich.
South Norfolk's MP was unavailable for comment, being too busy looking into a possible new rail service from the North of England which will be known as the line: Leeds to Nowhere.

Back to Peter.
I can't believe that Sunak made the following comment in our present climate. This is incendiary stuff that seemed to get lost under the radar of all the HS2 stuff. He said.
"We shouldn’t get bullied into believing that people can be any sex they want to be. They can’t, a man is a man and a woman is a woman. That’s just common sense.”
