The Rev Thomas Drummond who set-up the Rosary as the first non-denominational cemetery in the country re-interred his second wife there after having her remains moved from the Octagon.
The Octagon Chapel goes back to 1756 and was designed by famous architect Thomas Ivory. Not surprisingly it is octagonal in shape.
There still isn't a lot known about the Rev Thomas Drummond - but I'm on the case.

I'm beginning to measure my life in cups of tea.
Wake up at 6 a.m. Is it time for a cup of tea? Answer yes
It's breakfast time is it time for a cup of tea? Answer yes
Mid morning - shall we have a cup of tea?
Cup of tea with lunch, mid afternoon and so it goes on.
I remember when I was first working for the Police I was in a department known as Community Relations - it did exactly what it said on the tin. In my early days in that department we had a work experience youngster with us who saw her function to keep everyone supplied with coffee. I ended up getting coffee logged. I must have had caffeine nightmares. If you so much as stepped out of the office (call of nature or to pop to see somebody) you would come back to another steaming mug of coffee. I think we must have been hard wired in those days.

Yesterday we had smart meters put in to help monitor our use of gas and electricity. It's all part of the Government roll out. We cancelled the appointment a few days before Christmas and had the option of again cancelling yesterday but decided to go ahead.
Once the installer had left and we had put the garage back together, I started watching videos on how to use the smart meter. You don't actually use it as such. It's really just a display although you can set budgets etc. You can even walk around the house with it to see what appliances are using what. I don't think I'll go to that level. At the moment I'm just happy to have a green light on the display which indicates low level energy use. Watch me if it moves up to amber running round the house turning appliances off!
These new fangled things can be useful but they can also be a problem for anyone with a slightly obsessive personality (who me).

It was lovely yesterday when one of my blog readers stopped me in the street during my Steward Stroll to say hello and how much they enjoyed my ramblings. I do so enjoy a socially distanced chat.
I would love to be famous - none of that shrinking violet stuff for me. I have always admired famous people who really appreciate their fans. People prepared to sign autographs and have a chat. I would love to have been one of them. In fact there is only one thing that has prevented me and that's a lack of ability or talent.

Finally today just a few photos taken on a very short Steward Stroll around part of the village.
