Ideas for features are already coming to mind. The lovely people at Barchester Healthcare at Hethersett Hall are going to find a care worker or somebody at the hall who is willing to do a telephone or skype interview with me for the May edition.
Over the next couple or so months this may be the way forward. It does give us the opportunity to come up with slightly left field ideas and do some more research into the village's history and also to speak to people either via the telephone or social media.
As I sit and write this, the sun is trying to break through and I understand the temperatures over the weekend could soar to a very pleasant 18 degrees. So it looks as if some time will be spent outdoors in the garden.
Before I sign off my first blog of the day, I would like to repeat comments made by Dr Siobhan Rowe on Facebook late last night thanking local people for their understanding and forbearance during these unprecedented times. I think many others will echo her words.
"Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the people of Mulbarton Cringleford and Hethersett for the way you have adapted to the situation. Thanks to the people who have made us visors, offered to make us scrubs, brought us chocolate (obviously only when attending the surgery anyway) and those that have helped deliver prescriptions and all those who stayed at home so we can try and limit new infections. Thanks especially to our wonderful staff who are doing everything they can to continue to provide ongoing medical care. Thank you from all the Humbleyard team."
Now to decide where to ramble today. Photos will be posted later.
