Hethersett has been doing that since the start of the pandemic. So many people in our village have been working so hard to ensure people are kept informed of what is going on and everyone has access to food etc.
The questions at the moment seems to surround the word lockdown - the latest buzzword. No we aren't in lockdown. We can still shop for vital supplies, we can still go out for a walk/cycle ride/run.
But the fact remains that providing you don't have close contact with anyone outside your immediate household, you cannot spread the virus. The quicker we abide by the rules, the quicker we can all get back to normality. It's only when you experience something like this that you value the freedom that we usually have - the freedom to go out for coffee, go to the shops, play sport, visit families and friends, the list is endless.
Thank goodness for the internet in these tough times. It helps us all to stay informed and also continue to function in many areas as normal. I think if Broadband went down we would lose an essential lifeline.
I am still hoping to bring out the next edition of Hethersett Herald by the end of the week. It's content is changing dails. All I can do is reflect on the situation at the time of going to publication.
