With an average age well into the seventies, the oldest player was Rick Critchfield who is a youthful 87 (88 in a couple of weeks' time). The emphasis is on sportsmanship and friendship.
Batsmen don't run (runs are decided by a scorer), there is only one in at a time and bowling is from the same end throughout the match.
But it was a lot of fun - gentle exercise for people never too old to play the game in the spirit in which it was intended. The picture above on the right hand side shows Rick with his son Dean who also plays.
