Needed some essential goods commonly called food. It was all very orderly at Morrisons but I stayed in the car because, when you think about it, it makes sense. I think they only allow about 20 in the shop at the same time. Now if everyone goes in in twos (as if they are going into Noah's Ark) it means only 10 households can be served. If one person goes in, however, it means 20 households can go in at the same time. So it makes sense to just have one person from each household.
Then we took our Gove Gander or Steward Stroll, as it was described on Facebook, around the back of Wymondham Abbey and quickly through the town centre where there were queues outside the chemists.
I always find a trip to Wymondham restores the spirits and look forward to having the luxury of going back for coffee or a meal in one of the excellent coffee shops or pubs. Please let it be sooner rather than later.
I have started work in earnest on the next edition of Hethersett Herald and will be posting on Facebook asking for people to name their heroes and the people that have gone the extra mile during this crisis. It will be good to remember as many of them as possible. So if you are reading this and would like to thank somebody just leave a message on the All Things Hethersett Facebook site or e-mail me on [email protected].
Meanwhile I hope you enjoy my photographs of Wymondham.
