Sorry I didn't get round to posting any Memory Lane photographs yesterday but I ran out of time which seems a ridiculous thing to say in the present situation, but I seem to be as busy as ever with my various projects - all of which can be done at home thanks to modern technology.
I mentioned yesterday that I would be posting a photograph kindly sent to me by Chris Yemm, showing what was then the village hall and what is now Hethersett Social Club. So you will find that image at the top of the page. The date above the door in the photograph says 1924.
Also in this blog are two other images I have long admired. The first is a painting by Alfred Munnings entitled "At Hethersett Races." Sometime in a future blog I will reproduce an article I wrote a few years ago about Hethersett Races. There is also an etching by 19th century artist John Crome which is entitled "Road Scene, Hethersett". It's not known exactly where in the village this depiction is of but I hope you enjoy it.
