Not scared of having a blood test although that was likely to give me the needle.
No I was scared of something I've been putting off for a few weeks and as they say procrastination is the thief of time. I always say never be put off by procrastination.
No my fear revolved around starting to read our book "Hell in Paradise." What's scary about reading a book I hear you ask?
Well nothing normally but this book is different. Of course in part writing and part editing the book I have already read through it numerous times. But that was before I had the finished article in my hands and there was still time to alter and correct the text.
Now it's too late and any mistakes are there for good and my fear in a hyper critical way is that I will find glaring errors that can't be put right.
Also that the text won't read right or feel rounded and I will be left with a feeling of " we've only told half the story."
But I'm pleased to say that after reading the first three chapters I didn't have those feelings and I hadn't found any mistakes and only a couple of sentences that I feel could be better constructed.
Only reading the rest will tell whether it is a nicely rounded story. We have had some lovely comments already about the book and these are very valued. We certainly do value comments even if they are critical.

Well today is the day. I don't think a local football derby between Norwich and Ipswich has been this eagerly anticipated since we hammered them on the play offs many years ago.
There's so much at stake in this game. Ipswich desperately need to win to keep up their hunt for automatic promotion to the Premier Division. Norwich desperately need to win to stay in the play off places. On top of that Ipswich haven't beaten us since the days when Henry VIII was being potty trained. The irony is that if Norwich win they could be helping to ensure the two face each other in the playoffs. A draw is little use to either team and so it should be a blood and guts attacking game. Hopefully it will be a blood and guts attacking game.

Another plug for a coming event at Hethersett Library in case you are within walking or driving distance. On Thursday April 25th Paddy Anstey will be returning to give more railway reminiscences. Paddy previously spoke about Norfolk Railways. His new presentation will illustrate his fascination with railways from the 1950s in South Gloucestershire to the present day in Norfolk. The talk starts at 6.30 pm and tickets are £5 at the door. No need to book and there are light refreshments at the end.
Once again the talk is being organised by the Friends of Hethersett Library of which I am vice chair.
The Friends' group is also organising live music on the second Wednesday of each month until and including July, featuring guitarist Andrew Marino. Andrew will be playing an eclectic mix of music from 11.30 until 12.30. This is a free event.
