In fact today would have been Lennon's 75th birthday. It hardly seems possible. Overall I think I am happier to share a day with the former Beatle than with a politician who at times I support but at others most certainly don't.
One of my presents was a book by Hunter Davies on the meaning of the Beatles lyrics. Davies is a much respected chronicler of the Fab Four, being a personal friend of all the band members. So this will be an interesting read. So how did I spend my day. Well there was lots going on and some lovely messages on Facebook which almost reduced me to tears and I'm not a greatly emotional person.
Went to the gym (much needed), the household dump to chuck away a number of old bits and pieces. Had lunch at the pub and then went to the opening of a new health hub in the village.
Rowan House is now the home for a number of alternative and holistic therapies including hypnotherapy, physiotherapy and many others. It's a nice setting and very conducive to well being and I came home to write pieces for various web sites and the local newspapers.
The evening brought a family tea and I had a lovely day.
