Annette Palmer will be walking over 55 miles in a 24 hour period. Now at the end of my 14 miles my legs and feet ached and I felt I had done more than enough. That little effort is around one-quarter of what Annette will be attempting to do.
She will be raising money for two children's cancer charities including the Hethersett-based Finnbar's Force which raises money for research into child brain tumours and also supports families with children suffering from the disease.
The distance is more than two marathons. I did walk from London to Wymondham many years ago but this was spread over three days. I currently walk at around three miles per hour. That means 55 miles would take over 18 hours and Annette's charity walk will be over a 24 hour period. That means walking at least 18 hours in a 24 hour period and a lot of that in the dark.
So huge respect for what Annette is attempting. You can sponsor her by going to the following:

Yesterday I set off on my first run for a long long time. I made around half a mile and it was a struggle. So I realise I have to start low and build up. I think somebody I know has the right idea. They worked up on the couch to 5k programme and now say that they are going in the other direction - 5k to couch!

Just a very few photos today from yesterday's walk. You will see that one of the new housing estates in Wymondham has taken the First World War as its theme.
I have spent some time recently putting photographic galleries on my You Tube channel.
I have a playlist set-up with about 13 galleries on to date. If you want to have a look you can view them at:
