I will scream because the next piece reads something along the lines of "but unfortunately we are having to increase the price."
It makes me sad that we all feel that things are out of control. So much of the fabric of life seems to be spiralling out of control and there seems little we can do to stop it. Just a random thought to kick off today's blog.

So many random things come into my head in the course of a day. On Thursday for some unknown reason I brought up the subject of Crossroads during a Norfolk Family History Trustees meeting. Specifically I tried to remember the name of the actor who played the suave David Hunter. Half an hour later when the meeting had moved on considerably his name came into my head just at the wrong moment.
Chairman. Does anyone know of a volunteer prepared to do that for us.
Me. Ronald Allen.
Chairman with a slightly confused look on his face. We don't have a volunteer with that name.
Me. No he was the guy on Crossroads.
General consensus of the meeting. What is the prat on about now?
Talking of the Norfolk Family History Society, we will be at a history fair in Roydon Village Hall today from 10 am until 4 pm. That's the Roydon near Diss. If you are one of my bloggettes and live in the area, do come and say hello. We will have help in putting together family trees and answering questions on genealogy.

When it comes to diaries I seem to finally have ditched my paper one and gone exclusively online. I have always been weary of doing this but the transition seems to have come naturally. I just hope my phone doesn't crash.

The other day I was in a queue trying to get tickets. No I wasn't going for Eurovision tickets but for a concert by The Who in the grounds of Sandringham in August. They will be appearing with the London Philharmonic Orchestra which should be something special as they will be performing pieces from both Tommy and Quadrophenia.
Can you imagine the band back in the sixties when they've just recorded My Generation saying
Pete Townshend - That's a bloody good song Rog
Roger Daltrey - yeah Pete one day we'll be doin it with a 60 piece symphony orchestra.
Keith Moon - come on let's go and trash another hotel room.
What was it Townshend wrote: "Hope I die before I get old." Quite obviously he's failed with that wish.
The support acts at Sandringham aren't too shabby either. We have The Lightnin Seeds and Richard Ashcroft.
I suppose the King will get in free and won't have any problems parking.
