Every weekday I like to tune in to the lunchtime news just to catch up. Today one of the leading items just left me speechless.
Human lives are at stake with this virus but even that doesn't seem to be important enough to stop Europe and various Government squabbling and putting the future of the vaccine at risk. This is beyond my comprehension as a relatively intelligent human being (you may disagree there). LIVES ARE AT RISK HERE - this is not the time to politic, this is the time for everyone to work together. They don't seem to understand the basics of this situation. It's now being called vaccine nationalism!!!! Nuff said on that one.

Yesterday I went to St Remigius Church to continue my photographic trip around the churchyard. Had to cut the previous day's visit short when my camera battery ran out. Yesterday armed with a fully charged battery I returned.
Came home and put together a You Tube slide show. This is something I am really enjoying doing. I have got it down to a fine art now and it only takes a few minutes to get a new show up and running and added to my playlist of Norfolk and Suffolk Photographs. I then showed them on my Smart TV and was very pleased with the results on the big screen - although the weather for some of the slides could have been much kinder.
It all makes me want to travel and get out to produce more slide shows. I would love it if you would hook onto my slide shows and even leave a message. Just go to You Tube and search Norfolk and Suffolk Photographs and the playlist should come up.
I have included a few of yesterday's photos with this message.

Yesterday I mentioned the first ever zoom talk held by the Norfolk Family History Society and to say it was a success was an understatement. Norfolk author Phyllida Scrivens was talking about her book "Escaping Hitler" the story of a young German Jewish boy who escaped Nazi Germany and ended up in Norfolk, changed his name to Joe Sterling and ended up being a leading citizen and businessman in Norwich. It's a lovely story and we had 123 people attending the zoom talk from all over the world including Canada, USA and Australia.
I am sure we will be doing more talks in the future. It is so good to be able to communicate with people from around the Globe who have Norfolk ancestors.

Finally today I would like to recommend something on You Tube. During lockdown singer and actress Toyah Wilcox and her husband Robert Fripp have been doing a regular weekly programme entitled "Agony Aunts." Basically its Toyah and Robert answering questions about their careers, their thoughts and their homespun philosophy and it's hugely entertaining and an absolute delight. It's honest, funny and poignant and I am hooked.
The name Robert Fripp won't mean a lot to many people who are not into rock music. He is an eminent guitarist best known for his work with the progressive rock band King Crimson. I would describe Robert's performance on Agony Aunts as laconic, laid back but very amusing whereas Toyah is totally up front and bullish.
I once interviewed Toyah for a rock column I was involved with for the Eastern Evening News. Don't remember what she said or what questions I asked but I do remember she was very friendly and chatty.
