For me it's playing the piano. This week I have made an effort to get back to it and yesterday morning I went to the Cancer Research charity warehouse in Wymondham where they usually have sheet music for sale. Got a book of Glen Campbell songs which I brought home and started to learn. Lots of Jimmy Webb songs in that.
Last time I went there I picked up a book of George Gershwin music. So I have set myself a target of half an hour a day on the piano and/or keyboards.
I do find playing the piano the most relaxing pastime. I always forget everything else when I'm tickling the ivories or should that be tinkling the ivories.
This afternoon I had a long and interesting chat on the telephone with Nanette Olson and will tell you all about that in tomorrow's blog. I also went to the first quiz at Bawburgh Golf Club for almost two years - things really are getting back to normal.
This is a much shorter blog than usual as I'm running out of time and have a lot on today including my booster jab for COVID. Longer blog tomorrow (I promise).
