Sometimes you feel ok, tell everyone that you are ok but really underneath it all you aren't. I thought I was ok but kept waking up around 3 am and finding getting back to sleep impossible.
So imagine my delight yesterday morning when I woke up. It was dark and I assumed that once again it was 3 am, but when I looked at the clock it was 7.15. Hooray a full night's sleep.
Oh how the mind plays tricks, diving and dancing with your emotions and bringing stress that you don't even recognise as stress. You might think and feel that you are a strong person but underneath it you aren't and sometimes even the smallest thing can drag you down.
When you feel like that it's time to have a day doing things you like doing. Such was Friday. We went to the health club and I slobbed away in the sauna rather than the gym. Then we went to Wymondham to have coffee. I had lunch with a friend and then spent the afternoon finishing off the latest edition of the church based Good News magazine.
Yesterday we decided to go to the cinema in Norwich, but what to see. There wasn't a stand out we must see film but we narrowed it down to three. First there was Empire of Light starring Olivia Colman which I have mentioned before. Then there was the new Tom Hanks film which I suspected would feature Tom Hanks playing Tom Hanks and then there was a late contender with Cate Blanchett in a film simply called Tar which was the name of her character and not the stuff you spread on the road.
We went for Tar and what a tedious heap of drivel it was. I just wanted it to end and I will tell you why tomorrow.
