Heard a few days ago that Elton John will be playing Carrow Road in 2022. My first thoughts were simple. Do I want to go to this concert? On one level I feel I should as it will probably be the last chance to see this rock icon live. "I'll just check the ticket prices," I thought.
Well that made my mind up for me. How much do you think they are? I had a certain ceiling in my mind above which I decided I wouldn't pay. To sit in my usual seat in the stand from where I watch football would cost somewhere between £99 and £160. Now I know that Elton will have numerous road staff, musicians and other costs but I really don't feel like paying £160 to see him.
What do you feel is a reasonable cost for tickets? One thing is certain, Sir Elton doesn't need the money. After all if he did he could just sell some of his 250,000 pairs of sunglasses.
Incidentally my favourite Elton John is still his second imaginatively entitled "Elton John" which still sounds fresh and vibrant to me and also includes the wonderful "Your Song" along with two very underrated tracks - "First Episode at Hienton" and "The Greatest Discovery." This album sounds like a young singer-songwriting still finding his way and that makes it all the more attractive.

Wimbledon starts today so it's eyes glued to the television time. Having watched a lot of the tennis from Eastbourne last week I can't help but feel a touch dismayed at the number of injuries tennis players seem to pick up today.
There are a number of notable absentees at Wimbledon including Rafa Nadal and the defending ladies champion Simone Halep.
Other players I feel should retire gracefully. Two of the greatest tennis players of all time - Andy Murray and Roger Federer - seem to be on a downward slope. I want to remember them as the great champions they were rather than people past their sell by date. Neither have anything to prove and early exits at Wymondham which could well be a possibility would just make me think of the past.
Tomorrow I'll tell you about my two left feet.
