I heard on the news that the deadline is coming up for public comments on the closure of the walk-in medical centre in Norwich. Why waste your time replying because that decision will already have been taken. On the subject of parking charges being introduced at a Norfolk park, 91% were against the charges. Despite this this they are now in place. The same will happen with the drop in centre and that will put even more pressure on A and E departments and GPs.
Now have I got this correct? The responsibility in keeping inflation in check is that of the Government. This they have failed spectacularly to do. As a result many people are struggling to make ends meet, to pay energy bills and particularly mortgages. So now the Bank of England has raised interest rates due to the Government's inability to keep inflation down and that will lead to yet more misery for those already struggling to exist. I may of course have got that all wrong.

When it comes to Wordle I'm on a roll. The last two days I have discovered the word in just two goes.
I find this word game both fun and therapeutic and at times frustrating.
But yesterday I had a stroke of luck. Wordle helps you to understand the shape and pattern of words. For this particular one I started with the word badge. Obviously I start with a random word plucked from my head. I always start with a word with five different letters for obvious reasons.
Badge showed me that I had just one letter correct but in the wrong place. For some reason I decided that letter which was a G should start the word and I decided grout would be another good indication because once again it contained five different letters, but I was flabbergasted when all the letters turned green on my second go.
The hardest words to get are those with multiple possibilities where you have four letters correct and in the right place but then you find there are numerous possibilities. I have only failed on three occasions to get a word in the allowed six goes and on each occasion it was because I chose the wrong letter from numerous such possibilities.

I have a new way of writing my blog. Instead of storing everything up and then forgetting what I have stored up, I now write bits down on the notepad app on my phone. I then add things during the day as and when they occur. Then when it comes time to publish the blog I just Bluetooth the notepad pieces
to my laptop and upload it from there. How hi tech am I?

Had a nice day yesterday. Helped put tables and chairs out at the Methodist Church for their music and tea afternoon and then got the bus into Norwich and spent a couple of hours in the library. A book that caught my attention was entitled "The Liverpool Art Book" which was full of artistic interpretations of my favourite UK city.
I was particularly taken by the work of Bob Goldsborough. That's Bob Goldsborough the artist and not Bobby Goldsboro the singer.
One image entitled "The Three Graces" was particularly impressive. He did another of the Cavern Club in the 1960s which rather confused me. The Beatles were obviously playing on stage but the audience were seated in what looked like neat rows. I have always been led to believe that the audience were standing crammed together with sweat dripping off the walls due to the extreme heat and humidity. Can anyone help me on that?
For the record The Three Graces in Liverpool refers to the trio of buildings - The Cunard Building, The Liver Building and The Port of Liverpool Building.
I hope it's ok to reproduce images of the artwork mentioned above but hopefully the artist won't mind as I am giving him a free plug.
