I set up three pages for lockdown photographs - one for March and April, one for May and the final one for June. With restrictions due to be relaxed on July 4th (which is appropriately Independence Day - ok I know that's in the USA but it does seem appropriate) it is time to wrap up this section of my web site which you can find at:

I will be continuing with my daily blog and I would like to thank all those who have sent me messages of support and the hundreds who have liked my ramblings on Facebook.
Once lockdown is eased it is likely that there will be a wider feel to the blogs but I will continue to publish them on this website and on my personal Facebook site and also the All Things Hethersett site.
As a way of wrapping up my lockdown photographs I thought I would publish my favourite 10 from the three-and-a-half months. Obviously this is subjective but those printed (in no particular order) either have particular meaning for me or are just ones that I like.
Over the period of lockdown I have found three particular places that always revive my spirits when I'm feeling low. Just by walking around these places I feel happier and uplifted. They are (again in no particular order).
Norwich - The longer I live, the more I appreciate our beautiful city - the place of my birth. I have travelled extensively through the UK and been to most of the great British cities like York, Chester, Bath and many others, but always come back to Norwich and not because we live just six miles away. There are just so many nooks and crannies to our city and a general wander with a picnic is a great way to spend the day. Mind you I have left Liverpool off my list because this is my other British city love.
Wymondham - I don't know what it is about Wymondham but it just has that special quality. Perhaps it's because it's just three miles down the road. More likely it's because of its history and its beauty and the Abbey is incomparable. The other thing I love about this market town is there is always something going on (when we aren't in lockdown of course). Just turn up on any weekend and there will be fetes, sales and events galore.
Southwold - Somewhere I have gone many times in the past when I have felt a "bit low." It always lifts the spirits. There are so many facets to Southwold from the beautiful and vast beach to the local pubs and coffee shops, from the quaint harbour to the wonderful walks (especially over the bridge to Walberswick). A visit to Southwold always makes me feel better.
And so to my favourite 10 images from lockdown. You will find them at the top of this page.
