At the moment we can do little more than self isolate and hope that the number of people contracting the virus is contained sooner rather than later.
Today on Facebook people were asking about the possibility of setting up a foodbank in Hethersett for the needy and that's something that needs serious consideration.
Others are talking about a major village party/celebration once the virus has gone. This seems like an excellent idea that will obviously grow legs over the next weeks. A picnic on a public area would bring the village together. The main problem is we are a long way off being able to talk about dates. We could be looking at September or October before it's safe for mass gatherings to take place. By then the weather will be cooling off.
There seems to be enough people with a will to make this happen, however, and it's certainly something to look forward to as most of us will be stir crazy by then.
As always this blog will keep you up to date with any further village developments during the day.
