It seems to me that if you are a so called celebrity you are going to end up trying to prove what a jolly good chap or chapess you are by playing the flugelhorn or dancing for 24 hours non stop.
Yes I know they are often doing it for a good cause, but some of them just look plain ridiculous and it's all becoming rather tedious.
Gethin Jones was the latest to do a 24 hour marathon dance. Of course there wasn't a great deal of dancing. It was just shuffling around for the most part.
Just over a year ago two local residents in Hethersett did a 24 hour walk to raise money for Ukrainian refugees. To me this took much more gumption than a so called celebrity shuffling around with the full glare of cameras tracking their every move.
But I have to ask would I do a 24 hour anything and, apart from staying in bed, the answer would probably be no.
And while we are talking about ridiculous things, I was intrigued to read that an international arrest warrant has been issued for Vladimir Putin. I wonder how long it took for the great and good and how much money was wasted deciding that Putin is a
war criminal - something it took us all a nano second to work out.
So what happens now? Do a special group of police officers walk up to the Kremlin, knock on the door and ask him to come quietly.
Putin will of course use the immortal words "it's a fair cop gov" and surrender to be taken into custard - sorry custody.
Sometimes I think people who make these ridiculous decisions and prognostications (that must be the word of the week) are from another planet where time wasted stating the bleedin obvious is time well spent.
Still I could be wrong. They may have made Putin fearful and he may just pop into a Moscow police station and give himself up. And yes I know it's seen as an important international decision but it is unlikely Putin will ever be arrested or put before a court of law.

I had to laugh at the possibility that, after all the nonsense between the BBC and Gary Lineker, the football programme may now be up for grabs amongst other TV stations. The good old Beeb has hammered in another own goal following Ken Bruce taking the mightily popular Pop Master quiz with him to Greatest Hits Radio.

I hope you enjoy the photos of the knitted Buckingham Palace mentioned yesterday. I returned with my camera on the correct settings and took them yesterday. There are also photos from inside the forum and inside St Peter Mancroft Church which was also part of the Makers' Day (probably in more ways than one if you can excuse the pun).
The church had tapestries made as a mark of respect to the Grenfell Tower disaster.
