The community group was originally set up to support South Norfolk Council to assist the elderly, vulnerable and those self-isolating.
Now organisers are looking to establish Hethersett Hearts as a permanent support group into the future and their message is quite simple: "Hethersett Hearts is here to stay and we want to help." I will have full details of this in the next edition of Hethersett Herald.
One update today on another matter highlighted in yesterday's blog. I have had a response from Ei with regards to the King's Head in the light that would-be tenants Norfolk Table appear to have pulled out. The reply reads as follows:
"We are currently in discussions with a new publican about potentially re-opening the King's Head, Hethersett, and hope to be able to announce something soon. We’d like to reassure you that we are committed to operating a great pub in the heart of the local community."
Read into that what you will.
