We walked past the King's Head, noticing that the weeds are still growing apace. Then it was onto Café Kin to enjoy coffee and a brownie on one of their outdoor tables.
Then walked round the fields at the back of the church, down Station Lane, through Steeple Tower and onto the Memorial Field where I met a group of very interesting cricketers. I will include some details of that and photographs in tomorrow's blog.
Talking of cricket, I popped into Kett's Kabin and bought a copy of More Than a Game - The Story of Cricket's Early Years by John Major (yes that John Major). I love reading about the early days of cricket and how the sport has evolved. I will touch on this and cricket in Hethersett in a future blog.
