I didn't see the programme in question and it could have been said in jest. The Media often pick on things and blow them out of proportion. But if the comments were serious the answer must be a simple. "Well if you don't like it stay away."
Whether Ms Robinson has ever been to Norfolk is debatable but she seems to think that she is an expert on every subject under the sun (and after our current hot spell that seems an apt phrase to use).
I have had the pleasure/displeasure of meeting Ms Robinson once when I was on The Weakest Link. When I said "meet" I mean she just appeared when we were all in place for the quiz. She did her bit and then disappeared. There was no welcome, no chat, just the usual insults that once made the quiz so popular but then ultimately made it quite unpopular. By the time it finished it had very much run its course.
I'm sure Anne Robinson thinks that she is highly amusing but she shouldn't take side-swipes at places she obviously knows nothing about. Put bluntly when it comes to Norfolk the woman is a nonentity and irrelevant and simply has no idea what she is talking about.
I found out that yesterday was our Sapphire wedding anniversary. That's midway between Ruby and Golden!!
Had a lovely day - saw a national celebrity in Wymondham (although it's one that most people will not have heard of), spent a couple of pleasant hours at a picnic at the former Old Hall School and then had a very nice evening meal at Bawburgh King's Head. It was our first visit there for many years and it came highly recommended.
I will give you details of the celebrity and the Old Hall School event tomorrow but as a taster there is a photo with this blog.
