The evening was spent at a reception to mark this year's Hethersett open gardens scheme which saw over 20 families open their gardens to the public on a very wet day in July. Despite the weather over £1,500 was raised for a commemorative World War One seat for the village and for a Wymondham wildlife group.
Also organised trains, hotels and football tickets for a visit to Liverpool at the end of August. We will be going to the Everton v Norwich Capitol One Cup game and also spending some time in our favourite city
Liverpool oozes history and I love following in the footsteps of The Beatles. Liverpool comedian Jimmy Tarbuck recently on television stated that there are four major figures in the history of music - Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and the Beatles. I'm not sure I would agree on the first two, but probably agree with him on the others I am particularly interested in the early days of the Fab Four and how they met. More on this at a later date.
